New Ross Carmel are celebrating their bi-centenary this week. Carmelites from all over Ireland joined with the Community, their relatives and members of the Secular Order on Tuesday. After Mass all past members of the community were remembered by name and a flower laid on each grave.

On January 21 the Servant of God, Sr. Francoise Therese (Leonie Martin), sister of St. Therese, was laid to rest in a new tomb in the Chapel of the Visitation Monastery in Caen, following Mass at which Mgr. Boulanger, Bishop of Seez, was the chief celebrant .

We know that pilgrims to Caen will be delighted to be able to pray at Leonie’s tomb in the main church of the Visitation Monastery.
